Sintered silicon carbide (SSiC) is a dense advanced ceramic produced by consolidating high-purity silicon carbide powder at high temperature. Its combination of hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, high thermal conductivity and strength at elevated temperature makes it suitable for demanding thermal-processing and industrial components.
Typical applications include kiln and furnace structural components, setter plates and supports, burner nozzles, thermocouple protection tubes, wear parts, mechanical seal components and custom engineered shapes. Final material grade, geometry and allowable working conditions should be selected against temperature, atmosphere, loading, thermal cycling and dimensional requirements.
Typical reference properties vary by grade and manufacturer. Published industrial grades commonly report density around 3.0–3.15 g/cm³, low thermal expansion and high thermal conductivity. Values published by other manufacturers are reference information only; DADA will confirm the applicable specification and tolerances for each quotation.
Available product forms and custom dimensions are subject to technical review. Send drawings, operating temperature, furnace atmosphere, loading method, cycle frequency and required quantity for material selection and quotation.
