Refractory ceramic fiber products provide lightweight thermal insulation for industrial kilns, furnaces and other high-temperature equipment. Their low thermal conductivity and low heat storage can help reduce lining mass, shorten heating and cooling cycles and limit heat loss when the correct grade and installation system are selected.
Common product forms include ceramic fiber blanket, board, paper, bulk fiber, rope and textile products, vacuum-formed shapes and folded or stacked modules. Typical applications include kiln and furnace linings, backup insulation, expansion-joint packing, burner surrounds, furnace doors, heat shields, duct and flue insulation, and insulation around process equipment.
Commercial ceramic fiber grades are commonly grouped by classification temperature, often ranging from approximately 1,260°C to 1,430°C for traditional aluminosilicate fiber products. Classification temperature is not the same as continuous-use temperature. Actual selection must consider operating temperature, furnace atmosphere, gas velocity, mechanical loading, shrinkage allowance and local health and safety requirements.
Product density, thickness, dimensions, chemistry and temperature grade are confirmed per quotation. Contact DADA with the application temperature, furnace atmosphere, installation location, required form and dimensions. Appropriate dust-control procedures, personal protective equipment and the applicable safety data sheet should be followed during cutting, installation and removal.
